District Overview
​
The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District represents all English speaking students and schools in Newfoundland and Labrador.
​
The District includes:

252 schools with five alternate sites;

approximately 65,300 students;
-
over 8,000 employees.
The District is managed by a CEO/Director of Education, an Associate Director of Education (Programs) and three Assistant Directors: Operations; Human Resources; and Finance.
​
There are four regional offices located in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Corner Brook, Gander and St. John's and each office has an Assistant Director of Education (Programs) and a variety of staff who work with schools.
​
Directors for Family of Schools are located throughout the province and work with the administrators, District staff and school communities to ensure student achievement.
